Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Gone With The Wind is a slog. Don't waste your time.

Some of my favorite classics are:
Cool Hand Luke
A Streetcar Named Desire
Sunset Blvd.
Double Indemnity
The Third Man
Cape Fear
Rear Window
Dial M for Murder
Strangers on a Train
I Wake Up Screaming
All About Eve
Born Yesterday (1950, not the remake)
Anatomy of A Murder
A Witness for the Prosecution
Scarlett Street
Home From The Hill
Night of the Hunter

I remember reading something about the worst films of all time. This Movie 43 was #1.
I can see why. I can’t take my eyes off of this train wreck. I need to read something real about this film, and see how I’m the **** they tricked all of these A listers into participating in this trash. This film is awful, there has to be a reason behind it.......to be continued.........

... you've GOT to, my friend! 🤙😎

my never seen list is probably shocking
Toy Story (pretty much all cartoon movies). I'm sure i saw the Lion King when i was younger but don't really recall.
most war movies
Jurassic Park
Star Wars
Goonies, all that stuff
I don't know what i was watching as a kid or if i just don't remember seeing them

I remember one time we had this discussion YEARS ago. Can't remember if it was in this thread, or in a movie discussion in S&T, but I remember it was a GRIP of movies I hadn't seen and everyone was all flipping out. I remember the only Tarantino movie I had seen at the time, I think, was Reservoir Dogs. I remember saying I hadn't seen It's A Beautiful Life, Matrix, nothing from Leo DiCrappio, as I used to call his him with his ever-so-punchable looking face (this was WELL before Revenant, Wall Street, even Shutter Island, I think).

Now I've seen all that. Even Matrix. Just the first one. I can't get past Keanu's voice!! UUUGGGHH!!! 😂😂😂😬🤦‍♂️

Still no Rocky, though. Or Rambo, actually.

The only Tarantino movie I have seen is OUATIH...

I enjoyed Rocky 1 - 4 as a young buck. They would always show the marathons, and I would watch them as a warm up to the actual PPVs on Saturday nights (illegal cable ftw) :pimp:

Not too sure how I would receive them for the first time as an adult. I haven't revisited them, but I heard the racist and/or political propaganda was pretty overt.

But for real what are you even doing in this thread? Doesn’t the title confuse you??

Three Identical Strangers (2018)

7/8

Interesting look on nature versus nurture. A few "twists" as well. Hulu has a :emoji_fire: documentary collection, I might have to knock a few out.

Man Pulp Fiction is one of the most American film ever. Log off & go watch that ****, now.

I’ve seen basically everything from the 80s and 90s and most of movies from before then that are widely regarded as all-time greats (shout out to the film class I took at UCSB). But still a few Hitchcock movies I need to get too.

I’ve never watched a John Wayne movie (that I can recall) and don’t really feel compelled to now, but I do want to check out a couple of the old Clint Eastwood Westerns like A Fistful of Dollars, etc., which I also have not seen.

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is the way to go for John Wayne. It's really a Jimmy Stewart movie but you get enough of Wayne in it too

I think there's so many classic movies out there that unless you are a devoted film buff or someone put you on, you're going to miss something somewhere. For some, there really is a big gap in going back and watching old movies. . and I know for people my age and younger, they consider the 60s and 70s old

Me for example, back in college I made a point to watch as many classic movies as possible one year. I was knocking down like 6 a week but for whatever reason I never got around to westerns.. so that's the biggest hole in my film knowledge
