\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Congrats! I just made an offer on a 6-speed 997 C2S myself. They are rare birds indeed and that chassis deserves nothing less than a true manual transmission. I absolutely hated PDK but 2 minutes in the 6-speed and I was hooked. Be sure to post pics when it gets in

There's a white 06 C2s in Minnesota I was thinking of getting. It's got 54k miles, 6 spd, stone gray interior, and factory carbon ceramic brakes. I got him down to a very good deal I would have bought it if the turbo didn't come along. Want me to pass it along to you?

Thanks guys. Saved me.

What do you think of this passat?

Looks to be in good condition, low miles and good on gas. Would be great for my dogs.

Or are you guys thinking something more like this?

Honda civic

I would research that Passat on VW vortex since certain generations of VW motors are just complete ****.

German cars last, as long as they're maintained PROPERLY. You gotta pay to play. If you're not willing to pay for the maintenance, I would avoid it. And even then, I would be weary of higher mileage VWs. 110k miles isn't considered "low" by any stretch of the imagination.

But then again, you can treat a Honda like absolute dog **** and it could last you 200-300k.

All those civics are horrible. The only decent one is that hybrid but it's at 166k. It's probably due for a new battery which is expensive

Congrats Nelson, I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it

If you're dead set on a s2k, the price is solid. Not bad not good but about average from what I've seen.

If you're just looking for a small roadster to whip around in, Miata will always reign supreme IMO

Speaking of S2ks I drove my friends s2k from LA to SD and man that **** was uncomfortable I'm 5'11 I think I'm too big or the s2k just too small and isn't good for roadtrips

I was over wanting one real quick after that

Dead set on it. The only thing that I have to factor is, is my Civic right now. I'm thinking of calling the dealer and seeing whats up and how they'd work with it. I'm paying 340 a month so if the S2K is that or lower, I'm jumping on it. I'd much rather pay for a car I actually like and want than paying for something that is not even worth the amount of money I'm paying in total now.

Where are u located? I think Nelson found a s2k with lower mileage, newer year and asking the same price. If I wasn't saving up for a 911, I would hop on that s2k with the quickness

Nah fam i found a 02 (better year, 9k revs yo) here in sacramento for the same price with only 2 owners and white on black/red interior. Super clean. Asking 15k

I was looking into the insurance on the car also. Full coverage so far for my age was 300 a month :x Which is what I used to pay for two vehicles (I live at home so I would pay the insurance for my car and dads). Currently we are paying 200 but thats basic for both cars, worked out a deal with my dealership and they allowed me to keep basic insurance on the Civic even though it's finance.

Yes, i've done this on all of my cars until actually right now. I'm getting my own policy for the first time now that i can actually get reasonable rates. But yea i've always put myself and my dad on title so we could use him as primary driver on the insurance plan.

Speaking of this i just got quoted for insurance on the Turbo.  Expected horrible news and I'm pleasantly surprised, $134 per month for both my 330i and the turbo

So I'd have to put my dads name on the contract? I'm looking at my current agreement for th Civic and under the buyer section, I have my name and also my dads. Basically a cosign without the real need of one since my credit is good right now. When I first bought the civic my APR was 26 percent :x :smh:

I looked on CL for s2k'a around me and there are plenty going for thousands cheaper here. But winter is also coming

I would look into shipping or driving out of state for that car if I was in the market.
