Ran into @ksteezy in the train

LMFAO at parking being easy in the Boroughs, unless you are paying A LOT of time is wasted looking for parking.
Maybe I just get lucky but I almost always have no problem finding parking especially in brooklyn or queens.

Not if you mis use your mommy's handicap card.

Hey it aint my fault and I drive my mother everywhere, the nerve to try and shame me for taking care of mom...ya a special bunch.
I’ve never had issues with parking big enough that would make me second guess owning a car and I’ve dealt with my wife living in 157th and Gerard...literally a block away from Yankee Stadium....ya probably want to find parking literally in front of your door, but someo don’t mind walking 3-4 blocks to the nearest train station...STAY MAKING SENSE YALL.

it can sometimes be a pain, but not even close to the level these fools are saying it is....and like I said earlier, pick your poison because public transport comes with its own list of annoyances and headaches, which IMO dwarf, sitting in your car waiting for a space, doing a couple of loops to find something or parking not so close and walking

I can't speak on Brooklyn/Queens because i really don't know too many people who live there. However in terms of the Bronx & ESPECIALLY Harlem/Heights is is hectic to find parking at night & the prices for parking are ridiculous.

I'm talking having to park so far away from there house that they have to take Ubers home on some nights

MTA is pretty dirty y'know how unsanitary it is, vermin like rats bugs, poles are dirty. Delays, possible arguments/fights, dependency. People look at you taking public transportation like youre cheap.

The pride and joy you feel hopping in your ride, if you can afford a nice benz, bmw, or droptop, coupe etc. You are more responsible and independent. Yes, costs add up, but if you think NY is more public transportation convenient, prolly live in those areas.

Car is better in certain parts of Queens and LI especially. You have more flexibility, choice. Cars are convenient for bigger families.
I like the random fights and ****, provides some entertainment.

3 hour commute because of an accident? Now you jumping on NT extremes, the only time it took me 3 hours to get from yankee stadium to my house was last year during that unpredicted snow storm that crippled the city, other than that no matter the accident, I’ve never been delayed more than 40 minutes at most from where I’ve needed to be....lord just the thought of having to commute by public transport to shoot a wedding in Long Island gives me anxiety..
That snowstorm was a 9 hour delay :lol good times.

once again, you are speakingof commuting exclusively within the island, you ain’t going to queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn or up into WestChester....google any commute where public transport would be quicker than a car outside the Island...I’ll wait.
I go to other boroughs too. Qcm or fordham road or bay plaza more convenient with public transportation. And you can take a nap don’t need to concentrate on driving

I'm with Alp, going into the subway stations and watching performances, seeing homeless and subway artists verbal exchanges, it's a big part of the NYC experience imo

Some places are more of a challenge than others, if you happen to live in one of those areas then you SOL, but these boroughs are huge and I can guarantee youuuuu that the majority of the boroughs, parking isn’t as hard as you all are making it seem, I grew up in the Bronx and can pretty much tell you most places where you’ll find it challenging to park, in comparison to the size of the Bronx, these areas don’t make up even a third of the borough.

This is a dumb debate in the first place and all of this really depends on where you travel too, how much you travel, the expense you would have to pay to have a car etc etc..

pretty much what I said earlier, you live and work within the island, you don’t go out much, you don’t care for anything outside of Manhattan, you are good with the trains.

Exactly that **** is fun sometimes. And it’s funny when you see the same person making the same speech about needing the same exact amount of money to do something they needed to do two months ago, and it’s like damn ************ you need to change some numbers up or have 3-4 situations :lol

NO what your saying & i'm saying are two completely different things... you can very easily be fine not having a car and living outside of Manhattan

Road rage a real thing too. Dudes get killed over petty **** while driving so that’s not exclusive to sitting in a train and having a random person start messing with you
nahh, not really if you got a bat defending yourself in a car or the situation is avoidable, drive off. Youre a bit protected in a car, better if bullet resistant, big SUV, etc.

In trains, once those closing doors lock, you stuck with the situation until the next stop or hop on the next car hopefully not packed, or dealing with extra drama. Cant imagine people locked in the train with a gunman.

Only thing I think of dangerous for automobiles are accidents.

To get attacked for a completely unprovoked reason is highly unlikely in the subway, about as unlikely as a homeless dude taking a leak on your car while you’re at a red light. I mean it’s possible but it’s not happening that often

You gotta remember Alp is 6 ft and probably around 250 lbs so it's very unlikely to happen to him

I feel bad for your granma alp. Id rather drive senior citizens where they wanna go.

How did you get shamed by MIS use of mommy's handicap placard. Since you drive her everywhere you're now entitled to the same benefits when shes not in the car? Must be nice.

I grew up in westchester and live in Manhattan now

Not needing a car is partially why I moved to Harlem. I have access to everywhere I want/need to go without the hassle of car expenses and traffic. If I have to really get somewhere out of the way I hop in an Uber.

This def depends on your location in the city. For example, I work with a bunch of transplants from Arizona, Cali, etc moving into Manhattan/Downtown bk. One day we were talking and I mentioned owning a vehicle and they thought I was crazy.

Their location/lifestyle prob does not require one to own a vehicle. Where Im at in the BX public trans is not as efficient as owning a vehicle. For example, if I wanted to hit the mall/movies I would have to take the 30 bus out to Bay Plaza. Yes, there's a way but the amount of time it would take I would rather own a car and drive.

Outside of commuting to Manhattan for my 9-5 you will never catch me on public trans. Even on the weekends In driving if I have to hit Manhattan/BK.
