I'm Listening to Below the Heavens for the first time in a few years and it still slaps. It's unfortunate that Blu will always be judged by this one project no matter how good his later work has been. It's like people stopped caring after this one project.

Blu was so raw on this, that nothing else he dropped afterward compared. Album is a classic in my eyes. I encourage everyone in this thread who's never heard it to give it a spin.

I still like some of his later stuff, like the colours mixtape.

I think it's unfair to compare everything else he's done to BTH. It's like we're not judging everything else on it's own merit. He's had some solid tapes like Colours and NOYORK. And Open was a solid album as well. It's like we won't give his other work a chance to stand on it's own because it's not BTH.
