Was there any reason to believe what kylo told her about her parents when he was trying to manipulate her to come to the dark side of the force? I can't remember if there was another part that said who her parents were.

I worked with a few SW experts who contributed and maintain Wookieepedia and we all loved SW: TLJ!
First off, I'm a huge fan of Reylo. I rewatched TFA and I saw a lot of setting up for them being connected, and not just on a Force bond way. This is Anakin / Padme's story but backwards.
I think Rey will turn only to save Ben. She lets him call him "Ben" and he does not correct her. He had so many opportunities to kill her but he didn't. She is his balance. For Rey, I think she knows that she's neither good nor evil. I think this is the beginning of the Grey Jedi. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gray_Jedi
I think a lot of people are upset because this movie truly marked the end of the Skywalker arc. There's no definite "dark" vs "light" or "evil" vs "good" theme like in the original Trilogy. With Luke gone, and Carrie Fisher being lost (RIP), it sets up this new SW universe that anyone can be a Jedi and they can walk the line of light and dark.
My guess is: Reylo is canon, they'll have twins. My favorite ship has sailed!
Wow, just wow CP.So, uhhhhhhhh.....about Kylo telling Rey her parents are nobodies....... Anyone ever heard of misdirection? You guys really don't see a bigger setup? She's just ridiculously strong in the Force cuz junkers? Pretty damn strong connection between her and Kylo, almost like they're.......
This is true. He's like R2 on steroids.BB8s OP
Imo better than 7 but a little too long. Action and twists and surprises makes this movie enjoyable to watch again. But
wth was that scene when Leia flew back to the ship after she was sucked into outer space. That was a weird scene. That was comic book superhero like imo that wasn’t needed.
Gotta hope that Kylo was legit lying but I don’t think that’s how it was written...Broom boy shows us that they’ve established there is nobodies with the same abilities as Rey all through the galaxy...They want her and force sensitive people to be nothing special...
Wow, just wow CP.
You still trying to keep this Rey Solo nonsense alive?
It was already poor story telling if that was the case for TFA but its even worse now since Carrie is no longer with us. So what the big reveal will be between her and Kylo? No scenes with Leia at all in this flick. I mean damn at this point what does Kylo even get out of lying? Saying hey you're my sister, join me is a little more compelling than I don't think you're a nobody, rule by my side as we put aside our pasts
If JJ pulls that **** for IX I may boycott dude. Cuz at this point it's losy all story relevance and is just desperate.
Like just imagine for a sec if Vader was killed in ESB and Luke found out in RotJ.
When Kylo has his shirt off, does he have a hole or wound in his side from Chewie's crossbow? I legit can't remember seeing it.
I don’t think he did. I don’t remember paying close attention cause I was like wtf I don’t want to see thisWhen Kylo has his shirt off, does he have a hole or wound in his side from Chewie's crossbow? I legit can't remember seeing it.
Odd comparison to make.Is it better than inception
Couldn't really see his left side, but you could definitely see the Lightsaber scar on his right collarbone area, which extended down from his facial scar. When Kylo has his shirt off, does he have a hole or wound in his side from Chewie's crossbow? I legit can't remember seeing it.
The disappointment is pouring in from around the world. This film isn’t “divisive” anymore, it’s just bad. I had a friend call me last night at 2 am after just getting out the theater and the first thing he says is “what the **** did they do to Star Wars?!” in a horrified voice dude is one of the biggest Star Wars fans I’ve ever met. Darth Vader cosplay, constantly bringing up KOTOR, the works. It killed me that this film broke him up like this and it’s doing it to so many of us. I remember episode 1 and the “pain” and discontent people had over it but people at the least still had hope and were curious Jake Lloyd would evolve into Space Hitler. This is different though. This feels so much more personal. Between the scene of the saber moving before killing Snoke and Luke not creating footprints I’m inclined to think that Rian Johnson just got overwhelmed by this film. Why are you showing hints at to what is going to be revealed in the next 20-30 seconds? He didn’t really know what to deliver in a Star Wars film. Even Kylo and Rey vs the Praetorian Guards didn’t feature the choreographed finesse of a lightsaber fight. I’m convinced he was a “passing” Star Wars fan. Knows the pop culture aspects but didn’t really know the details. One of those dudes that came up saying “Dark” Vader up until a few years ago it makes his decisions about this film make more sense. He thought the deconstruction of Star Wars was gonna come off as funny and epic. Boy was he wrong.
