If you want to talk about numbers, then no, Jordan didn't need Pippen. He would've continued to score 30+ per game for many years if Pippen didn't come to the Bulls, without winning $%*%.

If you want to talk about Jordan in terms of rings, then yes, Pippen did come to the rescue. The fact remains that he has 0 rings without Pippen.

Magic and Bird were perennial contenders. TRUE contenders.

LeBron is joining two players in Miami who both did considerably worse than him in recent seasons in terms of winning. And yet a LeBron hater like yourself whose avatar is a representation of what you dream of doing to Kobe's %#@ hole conveniently ignores this. Haters like yourself only like to point out how LeBron is coming to join a player who won a championship before and to ride him to a ring. The fact remains that Wade won a championship in 2006, but this same franchise that he won a championship with had a 15-67 record in 2008. Did any teams Magic and Bird played on finish with 15 wins or had the worst record in the league? 2008 is closer to 2010 than 2006 you hater.

@ you calling anyone a hater.
In your first post you may have posted some of the most meaningless statistics ever. He is joining an organization that had 2 first round exits in the last 2 seasons, but it is far from the same team. There are what 2 players on the current roster remaining from that team? And are you really bring up a 15 win season in 07-08 where Dwayne Wade played 51 games... 51 games at not even close to 100 percent? Again...
laugh.gif

And when Scottie came into the league, he wasn't traded for to become MJ's savior. You act like the Bulls started winning chip's right when he got there.

Scotties numbers in his first 3 season's:

7.9ppg 3.8rpg, 2.1apg

14.4ppg, 6.1apg, 3.5apg

16.5ppg, 6.7rpg, 5.4apg

Not exactly numbers of someone coming to the "rescue".

Even in his fourth season when they won the title, he only averaged 17.8ppg, 7.3rpg, 6.2 apg

Now Lebron is joining forces with Dwayne Wade who averaged 26.6ppg, 4.5rpg, 6.5apg and Chris Bosh who averaged 24ppg, 10.8 rpg, and 2.4rpg last year

Now those are coming to the rescue numbers.

Ether. Now, dudes are comparing a player that got drafted into a team (Pippen) as opposed to leaving an established team on the brink of winning to retreat to a team with 2 bonified All-Stars.

Funny, yet none of your LeBron haters are angry when it's mentioned how Wade won in 2006 with a team that was even more different than the 2008 one. Why? Because you can use the 2006 team as a way to hate on LeBron, but you sure would like it if everyone stayed away from mentioning the 2008 team, eh? It fits much better for your agenda to say that LeBron won with a guy who already won a championship than a guy who was a part of a team with the worst record in the league. And yeah, Wade played only 51 games during that season, but the Heat's record in those 51 games? 10-41.

As early as Pippen's third year, it was becoming evident for Jordan that what he had is a true #2 man, someone he could eventually win championships with. LeBron played 7 years without any legit #2 guy. By Jordan's 6th season (Pippen's 3rd), he was already playing with a player who was better than and putting up better numbers than any Cavs player LeBron played with in his 7 seasons with the Cavs. And by Jordan's 7th season, this was Pippen's statline: 19.6 ppg on 51%, 7.2 rpg, 6.5 apg, 1.8 spg & 1.1 bpg. And on top of that, he had another guy averaging 14.2 ppg & 10.0 rpg.

I don't know if Magic or Bird ever invited Jordan to play with them on their teams. In the end, he stayed with the Bulls so he has proof that he didn't join them. What he can't prove is that he wouldn't have left the Bulls after 7-8 years had Pippen not come along.

Yeah, we all know that LeBron is joining forces with a 27 ppg and a 24 & 11 player. But whenever you're pointing out that he's joining forces with them, you should also point out that he didn't leave a team where he had a 20, 7 & 7 guy as his #2 man, like Jordan did, but he's left a team where he had a 16 on 44%, 3 and 5 guy as his #2 man.

I hope that you're Gloria James, or someone closely related to LeRobin. There's no way that you could really love this guy that much to defend every %#%@@ thing he does.

Jordan always had Pippen and Grant/Rodman. LeBron barely had a B.J. Armstrong in Mo Williams. MJ, you're the man, but you're not fooling anyone if you're trying to convince someone that you wouldn't have left the Bulls had Pip not come to the rescue.
wow i just gotta say you say some of the dumbest things ever.

first the 6 rings lebron thing and now bringing up grant and rodman??? like they were superstars??? pippen to the rescue?? the +%!#? Jordan made Pippen....

lebron is joining two FRANCHISE players in miami....

is your love so hard up for lebron that you have to discredit two outstanding superstars in wade and bosh???

Again...

Dude's a certified nut.

It's just crazy how he will defend Lebron to the death, while at the same time attempting to discredit everything Kobe does.
I would go in on his last lame attempt to justify Lebron's actions, but my daughter wants to play Candyland. Maybe later.

I can't wait til they're knocked out next year, and he has to put that cape on and come rescue Bron again.  Those threads will be pure comedic gold.

The LeBron beat goes on. The %%$# is simple. LeBron realized his faults of being a leader and realized he's not a King and decided to run to another man's castle.

He's not a competitor he wants everything right now and he wants it as easily as possible. Like the homie Haze said yesterday, it's a part of that 18 to 25 year old generation. Just like they'd all rather shoot people than take a !%# whoopin. It's the same damn thing
