I think two years-$48M was more than fair for Klay. Don't blame him for holding out, but he might've burned himself.

I have a hard time seeing him walk away. He is the sentimental type.

given his career earnings, klay had the luxury of betting on himself (no jontay porter) and seeing if he could play himself into a bigger contract.

Like you said, he probably burned himself and played his way out of the 2/$48M offer, at least from the dubs. Dubs pay him that much, it essentially means they’re keeping the roster the same.. considering how this season ended, lacob is not dipping deep into the luxury tax to extend klay only to have them miss the playoffs again.

It’s Moody’s time to start, and for klay to come off the bench. Can’t see them paying him 24M per to do that
