i shoot with a 35mm 1.8 and when i shoot products like the 11s... the toe is is not in focus like the pic above. is this an aperture issue? am i stuck on 1.8? how does one get the whole thing in focus?

bionic90, I actually used to shoot with the k1000, up until last summer. Loved it.


I got it for $70 on craigslist, w/ two lenses, a flash and a bag.

Don't shoot at 1.8 then. Not only is shooting at that aperture good for shooting at low light but it is also used for focusing on specific points on the subject matter. You can see it happen when you see the focus points only narrowing in at one area which blur out other areas. You have to bump the aperture higher and then it will focus on more areas. Also it helps to have a tripod as well.

shoot with full frame focus (51pt focus active on my d300s).  if i shoot standard spot focus (9pt) then I will get the issue ur talking about.  peace

can someone give me tips real quick on how to use a 35mm lens on a crop body with a flash?

i really don't use flash unless its on my fisheye. idk how to use it with a "normal" lens.

i'm going to a semiformal ball/dance tonight and i want to get some good shots. help me please!

For airbutchie, What cam and lens are u using? I've never had picrtures that clear. I ahve a t2i with the kit and nifty fifty.

For airjzz, yes, the weather is killing me. i'ma cop a new peacoat and be straight, tho. I think winter would yield some dope street photog of people.
it's my favorite season for fashion.
