Turns out the new Mustang wasn't that great after all.

I remember back in the 90's FORD had issues with their transmissions for most of their products..I really like the new Mustang and the new Taurus too.. I hope this doesn't mess up ford good reputation that they are having as of late..

The only big differences were the different models LX, GT, Notchback.
Also in 93 Ford used hyperpathetic pistons instead of forged.

thanks capt. obvious. i only crossed out the 92 because i own an 87

I don't like Mustangs but the 5.0 is still a beast regardless.

Ford could easily match Nissan on those numbers with a V6. Remember they produce a 365 hp TT. The point is that its a MUSCLE CAR. And most consumers anticipate a big nasty sounding V8.

Nissan is in a league of its own in terms of Japanese manufacturers still producing entry level sports cars but I dont think their intentions were to catch a mustang.

Ford from the beginning has focused on keeping the majority market share on pony car sales. So ya, they were slacking on base models for a bit in the earlier S197 platforms.

In conclusion, 370z = drivers car. Id drive the piss out of it. 2011- mustang = a pretty damn good car for the dollar. Id gladly take the base model and mod it to my liking.
