The owners of a former Christian reform school for girls in southwest Missouri are charged with more than 100 counts alleging they sexually, emotionally and physically abused girls for years.

Sixteen former residents of the Circle of Hope Girls Ranch in Cedar County say Boyd and Stephanie Householder frequently restrained them with handcuffs, whipped them with belts, taped their mouths shut and struck or punched them for minor offenses such as drinking from a spring or singing.

Boyd Householder, 71, is charged in 22 counts with having sexual contact, including sexual intercourse, with one girl who was younger than 17 at the time.

For the ppl having conflict w/ their (christian )faith, there is humour in the truth, and this dude rhymed a rant in such a raw way that's it's just hilarious  I love this song so much:

You folks raped and pillaged my "How to get to Heaven" thread and I felt it was a cry for help/attention.

But seriously tho, I was an Atheist as a teen solely because I rejected the "wild" stories depicted in the Bible. Didnt see how reincarnation made sense with a growing populations and every belief system I researched, I couldnt accept fully or sounded like b.s. I loved science from an early age and I stayed in that realm of reality, tangeability, and explaination. Ive been a Christian for 6yrs, now but I wanted to know a couple things:

1. How did you end up atheist?
2. Will pass along this belief to your kids?
3. Do you have an authority?
4. Do you fear death? What are your fears?
5. What do you believe happens after you die?
6. Do believe in life beyond earth?
7. Do you believe in any forces in action beyond human control?

Im not gonna discuss my beliefs, Im not trying to convert nobody (doors always open tho), nor am I looking to be converted. I know atheists believe in different things, I just wanted to hear concepts, ideas, or just gain some insight on how you see the world/life/existance.
1. I wouldn't necessarily call myself one. I'm moreso like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, but if I had to choose b/t believing & not believing the I'd go atheist route.

2. I genuinely want to see my kid(s) would grown to believe on their own. Would love to knock-up w/ very similar religious beliefs as me. Just let as questions and we'd answer to the best of our ability. Nope imposing colonizer mind-set.

3. What do you mean,? Like the government?

4. No. I fear restrains. I hate feeling like boxed in, its very lonely for me not matter how many ppl are around. I hate that feeling.

5. Idk.

6. Absolutely. It can be something like starfish. I truly believe there's life on other (neighboring) planets. It would disingenuous not to, and look at those ppl who don't as kinda small. Almost in a "how dare you" kinda way.

7. Sometimes I feel like this a simulation. Look how realistic video games have gotten. The game I every played was "Mortal Kombat 3" & The last game I played was "Last of Us Part 2" The graphic changes in the last 25yrs is just nuts, and those aren't even the best examples of great graphics. It's just like, maybe I'm being controlled by not me.

I have been suspiciously drawn to & have come across Orange Tab Levi's in 2nd hand stores more than not as well for maybe the last 2 months or so, and idky.

It's the little things.

Felt NO sympathy when I found out kid was 33 doing this.

Remind me of Curtis and his son.

Just another example of bad parenting/terrible father and son relationship.
His son tried to set him up which was a punk move.
