I gave this film a 1/5 when i first watched it. It was my first coen bros movie, so I didn’t get “it.” I copped it recently to give it a second chance. Since i like various CB films: fargo, BAR, No Country, buster scruggs.

Caught chinatown. That and la confidential finally got me into neo-noir films. Now i’m halfway through the thing. :x

Finally saw The French Dispatch. I love W.A., but I wasn't feeling this swing he took. I enjoyed his traits, but the story didn't do much for me. Some lol moments and I liked the easter eggs to previous films of his. I hope he collabs with a studio for a narrative based game in the future.

I always saw this movie compared to the movie ken park. Which is the worst movie I've ever seen.:sick:

I love most of the POTC films. 5 was ehh. 4 grew on me. 1-3 are classics to me. Great villains, music, and adventure. All the cheesyness works on me. Like the marriage scene and two goons. Sucks that the 4k release ended up being trash.

Highly disappointed with that film. I'm a huge matrix fan and love the sequels. The self references became arrogant to me after a while. Okay, we get that it's different. Can it be somewhat decent though? I didn't watch any trailers. I was like damn when I realized Fishburne wasn't in it. Still...
