Most affordable 1911 you can get, period.  For what you pay, it's a pretty good gun, and damn accurate.  Not the prettiest gun in the world, but that shouldn't be what you're looking for anyways.

If your barrel is designated as a .223, you shouldn't be shooting 5.56 anyways.  If I had a 5.56 AR, I could shoot .223 out of it but not the other way around, regardless of twist rate.

Sup NT.  Been looking for a good 22lr pistol lately.  Any words on the new Ruger SR22?  I've seen it in person, held it, and really like it, but not love it.  Also it's probably be gonna be a while til my local gun store gets another one anyways so can someone give me more output on 22lr pistols...
