How bad is a careless driving charge on your record?

It would be in your best interest to contact a traffic lawyer and have him work to reduce the ticket to a lesser charge.

Your insurance is guaranteed to go through the roof with this on your record. My friend got a careless driving charge and now pays double for minmum liability on his honda then I do for full coverage on 2 Cadillacs. 



Also if you drive a stereotypically "Cool" or fast car you will get pulled over a lot more frequently with this on your record.
