It was a Hispanic Catholic church. My aunt and her family went there for years.

Makes me wonder what happens in life why older folks always get more religious, even ones you know never used to be. Like it gets so ridiculous you need something else to believe.
Myself I haven't done any family church activities in years unless it's a special event they really want me to.
EasterNo. But it was packed liked one after New year's day.
That place felt more like a business/cult than a community.
That's good to hear, rather folk be there than out potentially causing trouble.Easter

While some people are truly genuine in their faith, mostly those who attend soley on those days do it for optics and out of a sense of obligation.Easter

In Church OR Out Causing Problems?
Yeah. Probably one of the main reasons why I don’t feel like going.Kinda funny you mention he will try to guilt you or make you feel bad if you don’t go. Sounds like typical parent and religious person stuff.
Paid membership to a church?
WTF?
if you only give a little, does that mean it’s low tide?He talkin bout the tides you pay.
I haven't been to church in 25 years. Parents never forced me + we were too broke to afford membership. I figure I'd be nice to people and call it "even".
