People really out here dying to see Travis Scott/Astroworld?

I love music festivals
I don’t think it’s a age thing
You never heard **** like this happen at a Jazz or Essence festival
I’ve been to plenty of Travis shows
One thing I’m not going to do is get into a hunger games like situation over placement if it’s not seated I have no problem being all the way in the ****ing back
I do t understand why these ***** continued to perform while people were passing out and a ambulance was on the ground
Like dude **** and let these people get these folks to safety in peace

I remember when a dude fainted at a curren$y show he stopped what he was doing talked to the crowd and instructed them to pick dude up and security escorted him outside for some air
And then he joked about it
Told everyone if you are feeling sometyoe of way to go get some air and continued

I remember some soccer fans trying to breech a game awhile back and they didn’t make it far. The second that gated area got broken into, the entire event should have been called off. What if someone had a weapon? You can’t just break through a tsa line. Too many youngsters are seeing these mass riots and looting and carrying the same attitude towards events now.

Maybe because I’m old now but I rather watch a concert in my bed on YouTube , rip to anyone who lost they life though

Same boat. Honestly just the pandemic has made me weary about large crowds in general. I love concerts and there are a lot of artists I enjoy, but concerts with very popular mainstream artists I always avoid just due to all the people. I’ll catch the stream and be hyped. Smaller artists that have small venues, the Dom Kennedys, Currensy’s, Krit type I thoroughly enjoy attending those.

I'm into all kinds of music and still go to whatever shows interest me. It's wild to me that Travis just straight up stared at passed out people, if that is really true. Was at a Phoebe Bridgers show a few weeks back, and she literally stopped mid-song 3 different times when she saw people drop. Made sure they got to safety, then restarted the show.

I just want common sense concertgoer laws man. This doesnt happen in Norway
 is this supposed to be a bad thing? Didn't children die here?

This is dudes argument over gun control? Because **** like this will and does lead to changes.

The dumbest generation since baby boomers. A generation so stupid, McDonald’s understands that to get them to buy their trash food all they need is a rapper to tell them.
I mean “our” generation is dumb af…. Entitled broke bois and betas lol

Came in here to say I almost passed out at a currensy concert once
It was at this tiny *** club here in Boston. Like 11 foot high ceilings, moisture dripping off the ceilings type place
But they passed around water bottles and I was good
I was definitely feeling like my avy at one point tho

Definately more then 8 but tbh most deaths due to drug issues and not so much the surge. Probably will be a bit more low key about that since that’s a whole different investigation.

Definitely preventable also. Untrained “medic” staff. Water station issues. Issues before it even opened with crowds. Merch crowd issues. All in the afternoon. What’d they expect when the sun went down and in darkness? Combined with middle school and high school age kids? Bad combo.

Guess I’m old but it’s funny watching kids at these shows. All you see is phones everywhere. You’re there only to watch it through your phone screen for some clout? Enjoy the show through your two eyes.

And that’s what’s pissing me off with these comments on other platforms
Like people do faint and pass out at shows but the performance stops period

that’s not even the issue
The issue is that folks felt the need to get in close proximity to a celebrity that they would trample another human being just to do it
The **** is just weird

I agree, after my dad's generation, gen X people started doing wild ****. The gang culture took off, the drug culture became a criminal enterprise, violence was high af in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, etc. My generation and the younger one now are just riding off of that wave that they created.

Back on topic, this will definitely change how music festivals are carried out. This was a completely unforced situation that should have never went as far as it did. Anything around this amount of people should be handled in a more structured manner.

1. Houston dont know how to act. Straight up. 2. Its a certain type of crowd that even goes to that. A bunch of drugged out late teens and early 20 year olds. Its the closest some of them are going to a Coachella.

Lmao. Just like rioting and getting a Playboi Carti show cancelled.

I been to 2 festivals, the last one I was burnt out by day 2. I’m good in them now, standing up for 13 straight hours is not the wave. The merch lines are super long and the decent sizes get bought out early. Surprised the drug od’s don’t happen more often, people at festivals be poppin and snorting whatever.
