The Official NBA Thread: PLAYOFFS

Well of course, one has accolades and a ring and the other doesn't. My question is outside of the championship is it fair to hold CJ's lack of AS appearances and All-NBA selections against him when his prime just so happened to occur in an era full of backcourt talent?

He probably won't get in, but it's definitely something to think about. CJ in the early to mid 2000's is definitely a multiple AS caliber player.

That kid can hoop, I work with the 16u group in VA though. We were playing at the Ben Wallace Sports Facility in Richmond this past weekend. They're going to Pittsburgh this weekend I can't go though school still in session.

You must be unaware that Chauncey was the 4th overall pick in his draft. He just bloomed later. A change of scenery helped him.

Chauncey was a McDonald’s all-American and probably the greatest hooper in the history of the state of Colorado.

What does that have to do with a NBA career?

It’s the BASKETBALL HOF. Not NBA. Billups also was a dead eye shooter and was like top 10 in 3s made at retirement. He also was a damn near 90% Ft shooter .

Again, just be talking just to talk. It’s okay to be misinformed:lol:

He shot 90% like 6 times and 40% from 3 like 5 times. He flirted with 50-40-90 all
Those times. More points than Steve Nash. If Nash is in, Chauncey definitely was deserving

And CJ still playing..he will pass that next year.

Also CJ scored way more points in college than Chauncey did...if we're going off pure stats CJ > Chauncey. Only thing Chauncey got on CJ is AS's and All-NBA's and if he played in CJ's era he would be just like Mike Conley and not getting those either.

Also CJ is a better 3 point shooter for his career.
