The Official NBA Thread: Mavs v Celtics in the NBA Finals

Watching this series, you gotta believe the bubble was fake. This just confirms it.

Was told these cores weren't all that different 🤔

aside from Jimmy Solo lol the other teams have their top 2 intact from 2020.

Himmy B and his ragtag bunch of misfit toys are another story.

edit: by "core" im going off the superstars. the rest of the rotation is whatever.

It's just the passage of time. In 2020, it was 23 year old Jokic who wasn't considered a star at that point vs a fully healthy, near peak LeBron. That's not the only difference, Denver has added a lot of depth (KCP, MPJ and Gordon)

One guy is past his prime and the other is in the middle of his. Gotta give it up the Joker and Murray. Them boys have grown up 🫡

He was probably about 25 by then, but yes. He was a star without the super just yet. Now he's the best player in the league or very close to it.

Proud of the lakers. 13th sees to wcf.

Few tweeks in off season. Load manage bron. Avoid injury bug.

Will be competitive (2nd round and above) again.

Good luck to Boston heat and nuggets fans.
one day folks will realize that LBJ is getting old and this aint 2016

Nuggets basically running a 7 deep rotation at this point

Time to finally kill the depth narrative with them as well
Can't agree with you on this one since the main narrative was surrounding the Suns and their depth (or lack thereof)

7, is pretty deep so long as all of them are positives and playable

Edit: or do you mean the Nuggets are deep enough? Which I agree with

I can assure that man nobody in the league office is thinking Jimmy/Bam vs Jokic/Murray is "great" for the league

The NBA doesnt give two ****s about the basketball "purist" they are a business first & that potential maychup is easily the worst for business

I think it was fair to say they were a deep team in the regular season, but the playoffs are a different animal.
For sure. Need it for the marathon but it seemed like ppl kept thinking they were the 2015 Warriors when you have someone like Barbosa being the 8th/9th guy off the bench getting real minutes in a close out game in the Finals.

Meh ain't nobody trying to watch that ****, respect to the Nuggets and Heat
Ya not sure what these nerds don’t get.

Basketball nerds live in a bubble. “Oh I wanna see the magic vs the kings in the finals”

Stars have ruled the nba since 1940.

Nobody wants to watch that ****.

Not taking anything away from them. Good for them. Congrats to them. Enjoy it fans of those teams. Rejoice. Celebrate.

But still, most people ain’t tuning into that. Sorry.
