Reports are that MGS remake won’t be exclusive and will hit PS5/Xbox/Steam.

It's the one Metal Gear I feel doesn't need a remake. I'd love a four remake or remaster. One is the dopest. Two needs story changes lol. More Snake, less Raiden tom foolery.

MGS1 would be the one that would be hard to remake unless you’re going make it a completely different game. Idk how the overhead style would work in today’s day and age.

The OG MG and MG2 would present the same problem as well, but with the age of those two games, I don’t think people would care.

MGS3 had cutscenes and assets already created recently for a pachinko game. So the work is way less than remaking from scratch
