The beach is wack af.
Pool>*
Sand in my car sand in my ***. **** that I'll choose the pool any day of the week.

Increased insect activity :x
If I somehow end up taking the bus or train it smells like death
My car turns into a hot box
Taking 3 showers a day and still sweating in and after the shower

its tourist season in dc...they stand on the left side of the metro escalators

I love seeing the occasional fed up local just plow through them and seeing looks of horror, confusion and disgust on the tourists faces

While we're on the subject of DC metro I hate getting on the front car at Gallery Place/Chinatown headed towards Glenmont when work gets out. Everyone packs in that front car and stands by the door so they can get off right by the escalator at Union Station and run to transfer to the commuter trains. It's serious business because every second counts and if you miss that train you could be waiting another 20-40 min for the next one.

Being packed like sardines in a hot metro car with a bunch of sweaty people all with their arms raised holding onto something exposing their smelly arm pits :x

Beach > Pool. Especially if we're talking about a public pool, then it's not even close.
Nah cuz private pool chill. Those public pools are nasty everybody peeing at the same time. Chill
I took swimming classes one summer at the Y when I was a kid.

In the pool there was this one spot in a corner of the shallow end where everyone went to pee.

The water was always the color of amber ranging from a light amber to a dark amber

I don't know how to swim

I had to teach myself. Damn classes were useless.

All we did was splash our feet in the water and blow bubbles

I almost drowned in that same damn class. Useless lifeguard

Looking back I find it hilarious that I couldn't swim.

It's so easy. You just......do it. It's kinda hard to explain.

It's like riding a bike. One day you just get it and you never forget.

Having to wake up and mow the lawn when its feels like 1000 degrees outside

Wearing white

Shorts without pockets
