What was your first day of High School like?

Man, let me take you back to the first day of high school for Slim:

-Dad dropped me off
-Some generic shorts, Fila Jerry Stackhouse sneakers, tee
-Sports Radio on the morning drive in
-Kicked it with the homie @ChampCruThik
-After school I probably played video games or basketball

I sat in a piece of gum my very first day of high school. I remember the older kids at the lunch table across from me laughing and I finally realized I had a wad of *&^&^%& gum on my shorts since 1st period

- What did you wear?
Word to the certified gangstas video...black dickies suit set (short sleeve) with white thermal under, white lowtop Air forces and black/white Yankees fitted with the fresh white du-rag under(strings exposed)


- What did you listen to on your way to school?
Dipset

- Who did you kick it with?
Some folks I connected with through Sconex

- What did you do after school?
Went home, watched rap city. Picked out my outfit for the next day

After living in Atlanta my entire life my family moved back to the place of my birth, Chicago IL

How did you get there?
Public transportation, chicago bus

- What did you wear?
Most likely some all white AF1's and a polo shirt and jeans....really don't remember

- What did you listen to on your way to school?
The banter of my adopted cousins telling me what to expect at Englewood High school and to watch out for the gangs lol

- Who did you kick it with?
Even tho I was a new kid I made fast friends easily....I remember my homie Jerome, and Derrick, and Mike


- What did you do after school?
Went home and watched Jerry Springer on TV

My brother drove. He was a junior when I was a freshman.

Wore a Texas Longhorn Tee, Jorts, and AF-1 Mids.

We probably listened to some Lil Wayne since it was 2006.

Hung out with some of my teammates since football practice started a few weeks before school.

First day of HS, I left my Ti-84+ calculator on top of my locker (i had never had a locked before )
and then in my math class, teach told us to take ours out-- i rummage and find nothing
I look out the window and see my locker, with that **** sitting on top of it
I ran out there when the bell rang, but that **** was gone man
Felt too guilty to tell my parents and ask for another one, so i ended up stealing someone elses ... circle of life, man

September 2, 1997. I still remember waving goodbye to my mom while walking to the bus stop.
We had uniforms so I wore a royal blue golf shirt, khakis and some skecher boots that I paid for myself ended up copping some timbs b/c the first shoes were ugly.
Rode the bus there. Kicked it with my friends from the neighborhood. Like clockwork, I was od nervous on the first day and had to drop a deuce, it was like a tradition.

After school I rode to blockbuster music with my homeboy to cop the master p ghetto d album.

I lost my TI-83 and ended up catching someone slipping for their TI-84 too. Those calculators were the worse thing to get caught slipping with.

Arthur was my ****, my whole crew watched it. Every now and then if it's on and I have nothing better to watch I'll let it play in the background. Would hop on the phone with the yambs later on at night, but those 2 hours when I got home were prime me time.

That first day outfit in a new school was so important. Had that outfit set in my mind for like a month, and had been playing lord willin for like a month straight. Couldn't tell yall what I wore last week at this point, but that one day was so vivid.

Took the train wit my sister who was a junior an my boy who was also a freshman
We were the only freshmen on that train cuz normally freshmen don't get first period classes
I honestly have no idea what I wore that day
I kicked it with some other freshmen I knew from my neighborhood that I went to elementary with
Went home with my sisters friends

On a side note I remember being shook of freshmen Friday and getting a wedgie
one of my homies got caught and the video was on YouTube that **** looked like hell so I was shook daddy
I remember seeing my sisters friends and taking the train with them back to the hood

@ Sconex, went in 2004 too. My HS was right across the street from me, so that made my 4 yrs quite interesting. I was shook because of the rep my school had, but my bro was a Senior so it was all gravy. We wore uniform , so I had on a white polo, black dickies and black AF1s low. I knew a couple heads, but made friends fast. Went home after it all to probably a struggle snack to watch 106 and Park.
