Who would’ve thought Seinfeld is more woke than Chris Rock

A bonified classic.

I understand why someone would be uncomfortable hearing it in a mixed crowd, but hilarious none the less.

It seems like most of y'all
A) Don't understand comedy
B) Don't respect others having a sense of humor different than yours.

A) let me help you out, https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/comedy

3: a ludicrous or farcical event or series of events

Louis is comedically comfortable saying bizarre things with respect to serious topics. It's a comedic trope at this point...

juxtaposition is often used in comedy as two largely different things placed in the same place can result in funny and strange situations.

B) Louis has worked with and hired more black actors and actresses than Seinfeld, Gervais, and Larry David combined yet you'd think he's more racist than them? You think he has an agenda to systematically hold black people down? Your evidence is that he immaturely says a taboo word reminiscent of a naughty child?
It's funny we're PAST the age of calling people out for kinkshaming, but if you find something politically incorrect humorous it's almost as bad as literally going through with the punchline.
We don't understand comedy? :lol

You gon head and be cool with letting a white man drop a hard ER N word in front of your face.

Yeah, I'm laxed about comedy. But, the ER is too damn far. A part of my mind instantly gets angry when I hear that word. I was going to handle this homeless guy one day, but the cops stopped to him instead. It was a blessing in disguise though because he was brandishing a knife under his coat the whole time so he purposely tried to bait me. The moment one of the cops asked if I wanted to press charges, I said "Hell yeah". You have to go into a really deep, racist mindset to even think about saying that word, let alone uttering out loud. And even if you don't "mean it", you don't give a **** about the negative weight it holds against a whole group of people. That word needs to get buried completely.

A homeless racist. Damn. We literally get it from all angles :smh:

Dude was a pathetic excuse for a Human and white people started apologizing for him once the cops took him away, even some bikers around the area.

Good one

Nope - coming from someone who grew up in a predominantly black group that used the "a" freely, this made me cringe ... No other way to interpret Louis being so gleeful and Ricky testing the waters as just odd ...

I do think we, as a society, need to get to a point where this kind of exchange is accepted and this word and all words are taken much more lightly than actions, but this just felt weird ...

Chris Rock is funny as hell and I dont hold anything against him here ... The bottom line is, plenty of black folk allow other races to use the term around them if they know them ...

Funny that you brought up kinkshaming. Some people can be bothered by the ace of spades/bull fetish, which may fall in the same context of being uncomfortable with non-black folks going n-er this and n-er that; can they not speak their mind because it will bother you?

I agree that there is humor in racism, and there are plenty of comedians who can be extremely funny about race without relying on blatant racial slurs and cheap generalizations.

Personally, the older I get, the less tolerance I have for those comics who rely on those tricks to get the crowd going, because when one of those sketches go viral, the wrong crowd almost always uses it to justify a lot of nonsense (like the "black people vs n-as" thing; that didn't age well).

Agreed with all of that.
If it's 1 thing growing up on this forum has emphasized it's how personal racial identity can be. Everyone can take it different ways. I just don't get how someone saying something uncomfortable with a dumb smirk is conviction enough to make him a racist.
Out of all 4, Louis is probably the 2nd most "woke" person there. Behind Chris Rock who went to an all white private school and as soon as tides turn there's enough evidence of him being a "sellout" or whatever people would like to make him out to be.

Literally the first thing I find typing his name + 'black'
He just finds humor in how bizarre it is. You don't have to like it... just doesn't mean he's ruining black lives in his personal life... which is actual racism since you guys on Twitter think saying words is racist

Wow best answer. I mean it’s hard to not like seinfield after that, but Brady is right he wasn’t a st. or hero for doing what he did, but rather smart in a stupid situation. These are the types of situations where we shouldn’t glorify people for being right because people should always be right and not making stupid passes like this to use a word that’s so dated. Like why even talk about Rock’s and Ck’a relationship and how dynamic it is??? Pretty much just telling people he gets a pass but you don’t cuz he’s cool with me, or if you have a black friend then maybe they’ll sign off on you. Just stupid stuff man, like if you’re not black then leave that word in the past, there’s no any reason to use it.

Just a terrible topic overall.

Not that it makes it better but Louis is Mexican. CK=Sique in real life I think.
I know him and Chris go way back but it’s still going too far.
