I use Baxter of California's Clay Pomade. The clay is used instead of the petroleum to give the hold but with more a flat matte look instead of the shine.

Not browsed one of these threads in months, but definitely a dope pick up on the Usugrow artwork. I picked up the "Shinigamist" book about a month ago and love to look at the pics where Usugrow draws hair. Just the flow, lines, and shading is amazing in those pieces.

You can use an alcoholic wipe just rub it around a few seconds and allow to dry a minute or two, works like new.
