Planning a trip to Atlantic City in June, first time going. Yes i know Vegas > Atlantic City

Need help on places to stay, things to do there. Whats the best hotel? Best room? Things to do?

Plan on going mid June
Not a huge gambler, i know when to stop but i do want to gamble a good bit
Want to hit some bars probably, not really into clubs anymore
Girls
No budget

The main thing im looking for is the best hotel to stay at, and i have no damn clue.

All I remember of my first trip and only trip to AC was this strip club right by the Trump Taj Mahal.

BYOB inside, and they had broads for every taste and preference.

I was 19 btw

i recently just went for spring break, i stayed at the harrahs casino not to far from the board walk and outside shops, the hotel had an outside/inside pool that turned into a club after hours...it was nice however after my third day there it got pretty boring, nothing like vegas

Atlantic City is great. I go almost 4 times a month. That's because I live in Philly and I'm one hour away from AC.

- Gamble
- Club (Providence, MurMur, Mixxed, Dusk, just to name a few)
- Buffet: I went to the buffet in Borgata last week. It was great. Asian, and American cusine. 30 dollars if you do not have a red or black label card. If you have a black label card it's 10 dollars for dinner.
- Beaches are terible. Do not go. AC has one of the dirtiest beaches
- Boardwalk: A lot of shops, street performers, small amusement parks.
- Hotel: I say Borgata is one of the nicer places to stay. Rooms can be expensive(200-400 a night) if you don't have connects or a black or red label card. I always stay for free since my girlfriend and her family goes there 24/7 so they get free rooms and stuff like that.

The best hotel is Borgata, followed by Ceasars. If you really don't have a budge get a corner suite...the ones at Harrah's are really nice.

Mur Mur is the club of choice in Atlantic City, it is in Borgata.

The buffett at Borgata is excellent, $30 bucks but its delish.

As far as casino...Harrah's is nice, Borgata has the best poker room...Showboat and Tropicana are pretty old but they are on the boardwalk.

From what I've seen the nicest hotel in Atlantic City if the Borgata...  I've never stayed there but it definitely it is one of the nicer ones aesthetically.  I'm assuming by the room rates and table minimums that the rooms aren't to shabby as well...  They also have the nightclub "Mur Mur" which all the Borgata babes flock too...  They girls are bangin!

  One of the cons is it's off the Atlantic City boardwalk, but it's only like a 5-10 minute cab ride away from all the casinos and hotels.  The same goes for Harrah's, one of the newer/nicer hotels but it also away from the boardwalk...  Girls in there are pretty bangin too but usually roll with packs of dudes..

I usually stay at the Tropicana, which is on the boardwalk.  I get a comp room @ the Trop whenever I go to AC but prices shouldn't be too bad... They have a section in the hotel called "The Quarter" which has a bunch of shops, a couple of bars, restaurants, etc, as well the club "Providence". (as seen on Jersey Shore)

Most the chicks that I see hit up the clubs...  Sp if you're still opposed to going to clubs and all, your best bet is to do work and snipe them when they're all drunk and sloppy gambling at the nearest table games.

As already said by most people, Borgota and Harrah's are the 2 nicest hotels/casinos. I personal stay at Harrah's because a couple of friends get comped rooms... occasionally at Taj if I'm going to be on the boardwalk.
Those 2 hotels are def. the nicest and are OFF the boardwalk in the Marina section. Less clustered by cheap hotels and shady people, i would advise staying at one of those 2 as long as its in the budget. The boardwalk area just isn't worth it, nothing really to see there. I heard the Chelsea hotel is nice, more of a boutique style hotel.

The best clubs are mur.mur and mixx (both in Borgota), Harrahs has "the pool" which i personally hate but some people like, and Tropicana (on the Boardwalk strip) has Providence. I haven't been to Dusk yet and i've heard mixed reviews about it.

Besides the typical bars inside of the actual casinos, (LOADED with cougars by the way), since you said you aren't into clubs anymore, my favorite bar is A Damn Good Sports Bar inside the Tropicana, $4 40 oz. night every night except Saturday. I went there durning the first weekend on the Friday and it was packed with college girls and we got wrecked for cheap.  Bar night is Friday, club night is Saturday, def a huge difference in the people there too as you see alot of nyc/philly people coming down for the day on Saturday, Friday you see more of an older (WAY OLDER) crowd on vacation.

AC is a good time but certainly not Vegas, its good for a weekend trip and a couple of solid nights of partying and gambling, anything more then 2 nights you start getting annoyed with the whole scene. If you take one piece of advice from me, it would be stay at the Borgota or Harrah's and hit on the Staten Island/Brooklyn/New Jersey girls with bangin bodies and bad attitudes, just watch out for their juice-bag "bro" boyfriends in the Ed Hardy/Affliction shirts. Enjoy.

Coming back to give you more info

Beaches: If you want to check out some of the nicer beaches, I would drive about 20-30 minutes away from Atlantic City and head towards Ocean City or Wildwood for their beaches. Any beach other than the one in Atlantic City is good. If you step onto the beach on Atlantic City you will quickly notice the horrible smell. There are sea shells everywhere on that dirty beach.

Harrah's: If you check out Harrah's check out their club. It's a pool/ bar/ club and it's packed with college students and cougars on the weekends. You can dance and swim in the pool. It's not a place where you can really dance, just a nice place to chill and hangout if you are not into dancing. It has an outdoor deck, it's real nice come June.

Borgata: Definitely check out the buffet, can not stress that enough. Delish, and the line is usually long which tells you how good it is. It is worth the wait. MurMur is an okay club, I don't know why peopl like that place alot, It's a square room. dance floor in middle. I don't find many cute girls everytime I go there. There is a pool and it isn't impressive, it's free but the deepest is only 4 feet and is normaly filled with kids. There is a hot tub there so I only utilize that. There is a upscale gym. Equipments are very state of the art but requires a fee, which is bull.

Clubs: I like Providence and I think you will do. I think it is in Tropicana, not 100% sure. There are go-go dancers on stage dancing on poles. There is a wide screen monitor where you can text a number and your text will appear on the screen. You can give a birthday shout out, that sort of thing. Many colege girls in site. There is a club call Casbah in Casear's. It has girls dancing in cages hung up in the ceilling. The crowd is more of a older crowd I think. Good place to club too.

Gamble: Borgata is the choice, more hot ladies roaming the place. On the weekend the buy in is greater cause there are more rewards and the jackpot is highest. Best time to gamble is at 2AM, less buy in's and less crowded.

Shops: There are outlet stores you can check out. As soon as you enter AC and start to hit the first traffic light you will see shops like the Nike Factory store, Gucci, Adidas, Versace, Aldo, etc


I stay for only 2 days in a row because you will get sick of it after the first night. There really isn't much to do.
