I want to be leaf.

OP will be checking in all weekend before the work week starts back up on Monday just to see who said goodbye to him  .

I honestly think everyone can find cracks in their day to visit NT if they really wanted to. NT is like a newspaper. Full of information and has a section for everyone.
NT is the Mecca for information.

I know what you're going through ...been on Niketalk for 8 years, it's addictive and sometimes it interferes with your daily activities that deserves more time.

It's a very diverse forum and filled with people whom may see and visit places you may never get a chance to. It's filled with people who've smashed and own things you'd never get to touch. Jokes on jokes on jokes and good reads on good reads. It becomes a part of your life and a necessity for how you receive your information from a majority of like minded peers. I'm 30 years old, I was almost 22 years old when I went from lurking to actively posting.

What I've found most helpful was not taking hiatuses months at a time, but organizing NT into my life in a way that not only didn't interfere but actual improved my life by condensing my information resources into one site.

Being labeled a troll has also taught me how to easier spot creditable members, whom offer valuable information opposed to band-wagon hounds and randoms looking to fit in.

I know their ability to see Niketalk as a value resource and a community worth preserving matches my own, which is why I hand around and also regard to popular belief contribute.

Do what you gotta do, I've done it quite a few times, but just some friendly advice, before "quitting" maybe try to make a list of posters whose information you can count on and build with them. Even though a lot of people hate TAN, TAN is an example of how EACH and EVERY thread created should have a nucleus of core users who contribute and make it theirs.

Never understood the point of this. If you never comeback, then it makes sense. But do what you need to do Troy. Hope things fall in your favor. Least we still got Abed.

I seriously would like to know whats your life like? You claim to have a wife, job, outside social life.... what does NT do to you where it interferes with your life?

That's gotta be a serious mental issue with you guys. Like if I ever get tired of NT I'd just not visit. No announcements, no theatrics.

And I would never not visit because it's effecting my life to the type of extremes y'all talkin bout.

I never understood the point of these threads . We got dudes posting from Iraq on active duty what could you possibly be doing that you don't have time to post?

Also are you quitting the internet? Just do you man if want to post more power if don't we'll be here
word x1000......

i'll be in my 50's still here , i ain't goin nowhere

NT, helps with everyday boredom , wonder who's gonna hit em first ......

Why do people act like this website controls your life? Unless you literally stay here and dont leave for hours at a time, it's never that serious...

Just close the damn tab

I use to visit this site everyday in high school and stopped for about 2 years. made an account in december and have barely visited since. I would say it's because I changed, but no. This site/people got worse

I live in the real world, where people may not have two parent households, disposable income, Ph.d, every color way of every shoe, can afford to go to the movies every weekend, afford iPhones and iPads, Galaxies and Macbooks, date dimes, live in expensive neighborhoods, drive expensive cars ...the list goes on but what I am trying to say is that some of us lead busy lives, and commit a lot of time OFFLINE to maintain the basics in life....some of us DEPEND on Niketalk to deliver news, entertainment and be a resource for sneaker collectors and enthusiasts. Some people aren't that selfish where they see Niketalk as "just the internet", some people have a connection, it's become part of their lives and they've invested time and energy into.

Sure we can all be nonchalant and act like it's not a big deal, but I'm sure you've seen what happens to websites where everyone pretends to be "cool" or "in demand"....look at Myspace, Black Planet, AOL, even Facebook and Twitter....they're declining because of the QUALITY of users who are able to treat their accounts with carelessness.
Let's not even talk about how fast forums come and go....Niketalk has been around for almost 14 years.

Just because the person is using a new user name that maybe not be favorable, doesn't mean they could'nt have been someone some of you maybe unconditionally d-rode in the past. And for that reason most posters are judged by their time invested in their username and post count... you may not personally, but someone else may value their opinion or even trolling, and maybe you guys that think your opinion means anything actually means nothing. Maybe you're not even factored into a "goodbye" thread.

I always find it ironic that the users that come off trying to be cool and say slick one liners are actually loser and accomplished nothing in life...and the users that invest the most turn out to be SOMEONE OFFLINE and often more well off and cooler than their e-persona... from Bobby, to Ben Baller, from Wale, to a few NBA players, Kid Cudi. from a publicist and millionaires and important figures you've never heard of....these are the people you might be "dissing" thinking you're cool.

You guys are the ones that have some explaining to do ...you be so "cool", yet none of your post suggest that you actually are OFFLINE.

People going off in this thread

Usually when there's a thread like this people are begging OP not to go and are wondering if OP is possibly contemplating suicide based on the wording of the post.

Is that not the case here because it didn't seem like OP didn't hint at goodbye to life as a whole?

Serious question
