Okay, I finally read it. I must say, this guy makes extremely good points. BUT, and yes, there's a but, this guy is only an exception. I'd like to seehow many other CEOs can sit down and tell the same story. I'm sure it's not a lot. Like AG 47 said, this isn't the standard American making over250K a week. Look, if the President, whether it be Obama or McCain, had to worry about every individuals personal issues, our government would be overwhelmedand eventually fall apart. This is his own personal issue. That's like asking a teacher to give individual lessons to all her students. She'll neverget through to teaching all the children if she had to stop and help every child in every aspect in which they need improvement. I'm not gonna say that Idon't disagree with what he's saying, in fact, I do agree. But is he asking for a tax cut? The guy that makes more money is asking for a tax cut? Wedon't know what this guys bank account(s) look like. And of course he's not gonna show Obama. This guy has to have money to pull million dollar loans.C'mon man. All we're seeing here is the negative points of it all. I'm supposed to believe that this man is struggling with 4 businesses? Nowit's true, people aren't willing to sacrifice and bust their A's to make things happen. But this is a new day and a new age. That mentality isgrowing, not going away.

Trust me when I tell you all this, my father came here from El Salvador in the mid 70's with nearly nothing but what he had on his back. I mean, his moneyis worth nothing. You don't expect to come here and use pesos to buy a meal. He was living in California with a brother, working in a small restaurantmaking only $2.50 an hour. Now sure, it wuz the 70's so you don't expect him to make 9 an hour like today. Mind you all, he didn't even graduateout of elementry school, much less high school. He actually dropped out of school in 4th grade because he had to help support his family. So, he had to learnENGLISH AND ECONOMY/BUSINESS ANDEARNED RIGHTFUL CITIZENSHIP. (And yeah, he came here illegally. But it's a little too late to even throw that into play.) My father would tell mehow he would learn a new word everyday, learn the meaning of the word, and memorize it. Tomorrow it was a new word. Today, you could hold an entireconversation with him no problem. Still with that same accent, lol. I wish everybody here could sit down and chat wit my pops. A very smart man actually, especially considering what he came from. El Salvador isn't a pretty place to live now, much less when he was 9 years old back in 1967. Anyway, he workedand saved, and eventually moved to Washington DC. Years and years later, he opened up his own restaurant. I would get into specifics, but lets just say thatthat business flourished into 2 more restaurants. Two more restaurants, three houses in El Salvador, and 4 more between DC and MD. Now he has less than allthat. All that would be gettin' into too much detail. And now, we're still a middle class family. I couldn't even tell you for sure whether or notmy father makes over 100K a year. But what I'm getting at is, my father knew struggle and determination more than this dude, and my father is still drivinga Toyota truck, not a Caddy, Beemer, or Benzo. I actually asked him why he doesn't buy himself anything nice. He says, "I'm not special, Idon't deserve it." Knowing myself that he damn well does and more. He never asks for anything, never wants anything. For his birthday, for christmas,it's just another day. I fact, he told me just two days ago, he didn't find out when his birthday was until he was 14. So it's easy to see that henever celebrated anything. I wish y'all could see wut I live like. It's nothing glamorous, I could promise you all that. So "Cory the welldriller" can sit his a** down wit all his belly aching. Eventually, his business will allow him to have damn near anything he wants. Now I know, there's some dry points and I don't really give any solid ground, but then I'd be writing a book. And I know NT loves Cliffnotes. And there'sno way to Cliffnote wut my pops has been through/accomplished.

Man, that was a lot

Do you want to give half of your hard earned money to people who don't work? No, right?

So then why do you support Obama?
Why do y'all do this? Why do y'all use this as a weapon? "Spread the wealth." The entire Republican Party and all it'ssupporters know that it's being taken out of context, yet still use it as if he's trying to rob the people. He didn't mean putting that money backinto the hands of the government. Get that out your head. Or better, keep it IN your head, because lord knows youwon't drop it. Don't be like all the other stupid Republicans that want to paint the picture to make him look like a bad guy. He didn't mean it theway you all keep sayin' and you know it.

^^^ QFT. But I'm more than positive that a majority of them started from the ground by another person, not the one currently in charge. Not to say thatthere aren't the choice few out there, Cory is a perfect example. But I'm sure he has more money now than he makes it seem.

just a suggestion...we should all take the time to examine where our local/federal tax dollars go and how they are allocated...from there we can all contributeto a substantive debate about taxes...

i feel dude ... i dont understand how people can sit there and say, you know what, because you are successful you should be giving people money ... i dont evencare how they became successful, the simple logic of it is flawed ... there are far too many people waiting for handouts in this world ... i dont see how youcan consider yourself a hard worker and at the same time vote for obama ... hes going to basically enable people to be lazy, in hopes that they wont be lazy... i just doubt that logic

people like you keep our country from having educated discussions about complex issues.

Find me one, ONE instance where any person talked about taking money from the wealthy andGIVING it to the middle class. you oversimplify things by calling the middle and lower classlazy. i strongly disagree. everyone works hard in this country. the poorest people are the hardest working people on earth.

But lets flip this on the other side Republicans. If Obama's tax plans are an example of taking money fromthe wealthy and giving it to the 'lazy' poor and midde class, then you would have to say that the Bush tax cuts were an example of taking money fromthe middle class and giving it to the wealthy? no.

It's so sad that the "spread the wealth" argument is working (because it's deceiving). For the most part, taxes don't go to people, itgoes to the gov't. The Gov't will get theirs one way or the other. It's all about, who's flipping the bill. This time around, it will be therich.

And as for the dude in the video, speaking in generalizations can sell any argument. Our current health care system is no better than the lending sector. Theyare for profit and will find ways to avoid paying medical bills whenever possible. The biggest complaint about socialized health care systems is the line (waittimes). The line. Not lack of coverage, not denial of treatment... But, the line. The reason there is a line is because people are using the system.

I can't accept the fact that he will ruin our country...

How exactly will Obama do this?
By introducing his socialist ideas and by turning us into a communist country...

He even said it himself... He wants to "Spread the wealth"...

He is pissed because he worked hard his entire life, was almost bankrupt, risked his entire fortune on his business venture and now thinks Obama isspecifically targeting people like him.

He thinks its unfair that someone that worked as hard as him should be taxed higher while people sit at home eating government cheese.

My assumption is that even before Obama came into the scene this guy is already prejudice with Democrats because he lives in Texas and uses words such as"liberal comrades", "liberal media" and "liberal indoctrination programs" whatever that means.

What I don't understand is why people like him do not take advantage of Govt programs like small business loan programs? In either case, we all pay taxes. We all deserve everything the govt provides us whether it be welfare, disability insurance, social security, medicare, whatever. If you have pride and notcare for hand outs, then so be it but do not fault or degrade the rest of us that do take advantage of what the Govt gives us. I guess what I am saying is ifyou're paying all this money on taxes, why shouldn't we ask more from the govt? I mean its not like we know penny for penny what the govt uses our taxdollars for meaning I rather have our tax dollars provide free housing for homeless kids than to go to Iraq.

But lets flip this on the other side Republicans. Just look at this chart. Why in the world does someone making 2.7 Million deserve a $269,364 tax reduction? So yes basically McCain is takingmoney from the middle class and providing a bigger refund to the wealthy. What a slap in the face to middle class America.

The ignorance about Obama's, and from a broader perspective Democratic, economic policy is pretty laughable. It just befuddles me how people jump from"tax cuts for the majority of American taxpayers while restoring tax rates on the upper 5-10% to Clintonian levels" to "taking from the hardworkers and giving to the poor and unmotivated." And, of course, the popular favorite of:

"SOCIALISM"

C'mon now.

Umm. You shouldn't assume. He makes valid points.

"liberal indoctrination programs" is his way of saying programs that teach liberal ideas and their total ideaology.

This is the only thing I really disagree with when it comes to Obama. This election though has been an embarassment from a cultural standpoint. The ignorantvoting w/o knowing and the sad face of racism in areas you just wouldn't expect it.
