This strategy is pretty spot on for width / leg opening measurement - not so much length.
More measurements play into the length and how the pants fall - like rise, drop and seat. So unless the example pants and the pants to be tailored are the same exact pant I would recommend trying them...
Yeah I hear ya. I think aesthetically we went with slim fit all around. And he's a super slim guy so it's fitting. Generally we change lapel size with body shape unless the client has a specific request, but this guy in particular requested a slimmer lapel than we would have otherwise given him.
Two very happy clients. What are your thoughts here guys? Keep in mind, these aren'e me, I simply helped these gentleman decide on an overall fit that was both comfortable for them, fit well and was appropriate for the occasion and their taste. So any "You should change this or that isn't...

Hope you recover soon man. Doesn't sound like you tore anything though. Theres a chance you damaged your meniscus, or partially tore ligaments. Both could require minor ortho surgery. Surgery wouldnt take place until about 3 months after the injury. Surgeons like full mobility and minimal...
This Penfield has been holding me down on my Boston commute through any weather. It's easy to layer with and roomy enough to ride a bike with. Ill wear it with a blazer and jeans, or a sweatshirt so its pretty versatile...
Thanks for the info. I see what you guys mean, and can completely understand tastes changing with time and progression, and income increases. For me personally, given how infrequently I have to wear suits and the fact that I can get an employee discount - the Ludlow suit will work for now. It...
Care to explain? I'm no suit buff, but I do kind of like the Ludlow suit. What is your main beef with the Ludlow suit? Is it just price? And what do you mean by fused? What would be the advantages of a SS suit vs. Ludlow?
I quickly checked out SuitSupply and their stuff looks nice. They...
Heads up J.Crew is currently doing 25% off in store. Good time to snag some pricer pieces if you've been eyeing any. My shop gets a bigger selection than most J.Crew shops, and I'm willing to help you guys out. PM me if you're having any trouble locating something, or want to make sure you're...
Not very frequently unfortunately. And even when they do, they don't stay in Ludlow very long. Ludlow does not want to maintain the image of a "sale retailer" They'll hold on to sale suiting for a short period of time and then transfer it to another local J.Crew that appeals more to a "sale...
I completely understand where you're coming from and I think it's a bit much also, but you wouldn't believe how much that strategy works. Not to say its a scam, but when you educate people on where stuff comes from and it's longevity, to them it helps to justify the price. A lot of our...
The waist is pretty true to size. You would be a small, but I would describe them to run on the big side in the thigh. Its a comfortable fit that's a little more relaxed in the hip and thigh, and slim at the ankle. If you are looking for a slimmer fit, check the slim sweat pant by J.crew...
I agree here (Also a former Foot Locker Store Manager) but the way I would describe Nike's emphasis is cutting edge technology versus tried and true technology from companies like Asics and Brooks. I wouldn't go so far as to say all Nike's suck for running, but if you rely solely on Nike for...
