More or less I lost a great one b/c I was selfish and an #$*. I prioritized wrong, and after 4 years she got fed up.

Wow, I faced a similar situation a few years ago.  We were married for 6 years, and suddenly she didn't want to be married anymore.  I do not wish anyone the pain that I felt when she uttered those words.  Luckily, we did not have any kids.  I tried to fix everything when it was falling apart, but you can only do so much.  I made her my priority, and took care of her, unfortunately, my efforts were not good enough.  I had goals, but had set them aside to provide for her.  I went in to depression and suffered insomnia when she left.  
It also changed my perspective on life, and that is to always make myself as my number one priority.  One day, I decided to step out of the rut and move on.  I've decided to work on myself by getting a higher education and staying positive.  Now, I'm getting close to earning my bachelors degree, and I also have a younger, smarter, and more beautiful girlfriend.  Best of luck to you and your daughter.

She thought I was controlling where I just made suggestions on how she should do certain things which would make things much easier for her. I didn't actually force her to make any of those changes when she chose not to listen.
She thought that I didn't show enough affection towards her which is a complete lie.
She thought that I was dissing her and not spending enough time talking to her and stuff. Where I just was taking a step back because I wanted her to focus more of her efforts on schoolwork because her grades were falling.
I also was sort of questioning myself whether I actually see myself spending the rest of my life with this girl. Honestly towards the end I was considering yea it's a possibility. But once we got into this one serious fight which led to the breakup I realized that I was right for doubting it all along. Girl was fun and awesome and sort of exactly what I like. Minus one thing, she wasn't as driven and determined as I was raised to be so that's where things for me just fell apart.

I gave her everything and she cheated on me. It's been 4 months and she still sends me book long texts all the time saying how sorry she is but I can never forgive her, ever..

I have never experienced infidelity in a relationship, but that sounds like a tough one and a pretty common NT issue.  Got to do a better job screening that kind of character in a female before you lock it down.
